I'm not nitpicking here, I just want to help others that experienced the Radeon 4000 series FPS problems like I did as much as I can. I see you've already added the additional info as suggested on this forum. There is one more addition I think is important. When I worked on my particular FPS problem running the Radeon 4850 card and Vista 32-bit, I first performed "Red Wolf's" info, there were NO changes in FPS. However, when I combined the additional set of changes from LeBlaque the FPS problem was solved. I tried all changes step-by-step and only noticed the "big difference in FPS" when I used LeBlaque's suggestion: "To disable messages such as whether you've hit your enemy and warnings such as 'Stall' tick the boxes for Disable Chat, Disable Advisor Messages and Disable Simulation Warnings."

Polovski, those changes in quotes were IMO the "key" finishing touch of solving the problem. I would respectfully request you add that paragraph and make sure ALL of LeBlaque's changes (in addition to Redwolf's) are in the FAQ. OFF is a wonderful game and anything we can do to make other players transition to getting up and running easier should be done! And thanks again for your work on OFF!!

Sorry I don't see those in Le Blaques post?
Seems very odd that the big change is small hit labels on screen (they are only there sometimes anyway?)
I can add them but I'll have to add more as a 'rumour' than definite fix unless everyone else says the same works?

Are you saying disabling messages alone helps with or without all the other stuff, or only with all that set?

Yes, the paragraph is in LeBlaque's post: The "Best(?)" ATI GPU Settings....
Yes, its' important along "with" all the other changes. I performed the "disable messages" LAST in my step-by-step process and it made the difference. I agree about the rumor part, maybe it could be posted as a "possible last step" option. All I know is, it clinched the FPS problem with my Radeon 4850. Some cards ARE very susceptible to onscreen messages, even FPS onscreen counters can slow down particular cards in my and friends experience. I go with the theory that anything and everything that works for each "individual" rig should be given a shot.
