Now that Part III, D-Day is in final testing and with no further problems should be released next weekend....I was trying to decide what to do next! Then it hit me "High Road to China". So with that as my guide, I set about trying to find the perferct place for the start of "Silk Road Air Race".......I found it....Leads Castle in Maidstone, United Kingdom....

With that, I created "King's Aero Club".....

The pics below are WIP from Movie Maker's Studio, Set IV, Scene I "King's Aero Club; Silk Road Air Race"...

Here's The pics...

When will it be available? ...... Da, don't know! The flight from Maidstone, UK to Hong Kong, China.......takes months.

I'm going to break it down into three sections.....

Movie Maker's Studio, King's Aero Club, Set 4, Scene 1 - "The Start"
Movie Maker's Studio, King's Aero Club, Set 4, Scene 2 - "The Middle"
Movie Maker's Studio, King's Aero Club, Set 4, Scene 3 - "The End"

So that about how far the creativity goes........

In the first part, the flyer will take of from Leeds Castle, UK fly over the Channel, down the coast, over Paris, past the big lake then south to the Med. He/She will continue over Northern Itly, Greece and 3/4 of the way through Turkey. The second part will be up through the "Stans" (Paki, Afgan, and so on), across India. The last section will be across China to Hong Kong....

Each section will have VFR instructions to follow for each leg....example...

Take off at SR0A, Fly north to the water, turn to 90 degrees fly east across the channel, fly south along the coast to the point where the Sien River meet the Channel.....just to give you an idea..

Luv the idea of High Road to China! :) Was a great movie too.

Something else you may be interested in Morris is "To Baghdad In A Brisfit". In 1934 two Oxford university undergraduates repaired a WWI surplus F.2B Bristol F4721 (which they found tucked away in a hanger wraped in tarps in Whitney) and flew it from Gravesend, Kent to Badhdad and return using nothing more than maps provided by the Automobile Association! The trip took five weeks with stopovers.

A real 'Boys Own' adventure.

I've got a copy of the route they took if your interested. :)

Pips, can you post it or send it by pm.....

I would be interested in looking at....

Might be something to do after this one is complete, but with 27 stops....it will be a bit!
