Audacity: Sound File tutorial?

Is there such a thing as a tutorial for making sound files?

I don't know of a tutorial as such but the included help file is useful.

The problem I was having was that the files were not playing due to my saving 32bit. Once saved 16bit they now work. Now to jump in that manual.
