Auditing CFS2 standard aircraft

I tested the A6M2 Zero today. The performance is very close to the real thing:

I got the following speeds at the following altitudes:

5,000 ft = 256 kts per hour
10,000 ft = 277 kts per hour
15,000 ft = 292 kts per hour
20,000 ft = 268 kts per hour
25,000 ft = 240 kts per hour
30,000 ft = 170 kts per hour

A6M5 will be the next one.

The A6M5 also acts like the real thing

5,000 ft = 264 kts per hour
10,000 ft = 279 kts per hour
15,000 ft = 292 kts per hour
20,000 ft = 306 kts per hour
25,000 ft = 291 kts per hour
30,000 ft = 270 kts per hour
34,000 ft = 232 kts per hour

The F4U1 will be the next one.

F4u1a

5,000 ft = 307 kts per hour
10,000 ft = 320 kts per hour
15,000 ft = 331 kts per hour
20,000 ft = 349 kts per hour
25,000 ft = 337 kts per hour
30,000 ft = 305 kts per hour
33,800 ft = 155 kts per hour

The maximum real F4U-1A was 362 knots. It needs drag reduction!

5,000 ft = 307 kts per hour

15,000 ft = 331 kts per hour

25,000 ft = 337 kts per hour

I have no doubt you took this in consideration, but just to be sure : did you set real airspeed or indicated airspeed ?

The next one will be the Hellcat

I will test, also, all AI aircraft. I used AAM to broke the code and open the files.

Cheers

Pepe

F6F-3 Hellcat

5,000 ft = 293 kts per hour
10,000 ft = 307 kts per hour
15,000 ft = 309 kts per hour
20,000 ft = 323 kts per hour
25,000 ft = 325 kts per hour
30,000 ft = 309 kts per hour
35,000 ft = 275 kts per hour

Very close to the original plane 330 kts per hour, but it needs a small improvement. Next one, the P-38!

P-38 Lightning

5,000 ft = 271 kts per hour
10,000 ft = 290 kts per hour
15,000 ft = 311 kts per hour
20,000 ft = 323 kts per hour
25,000 ft = 333 kts per hour
30,000 ft = 317 kts per hour
35,000 ft = 294 kts per hour

It is 26 kts slower than the real thing. Next one, the George! Until now, the more balanced American plane is the F6F-3

N1K2 George

5,000 ft = 295 kts per hour
10,000 ft = 309 kts per hour
15,000 ft = 321 kts per hour
20,000 ft = 323 kts per hour
25,000 ft = 333 kts per hour
30,000 ft = 306 kts per hour
35,000 ft = 252 kts per hour

It's slower than the real thing: 355 kts per hour.
