Thought I'd give a photo real peek
..It's been ages since I did a repaint.

I haven't had much ambition beyond the thought of doing a repaint in over 6 months.
...Who know's if I'll even finish it.

Looking very nice indeed.....G-ATBU is still flying and was the first Auster in the UK to transfer from the Civil Aviation Authority Certificate of Airworthiness regulations to the Light Aircraft Association's permit scheme.

Originally built by the Auster factory at Rearsby for the Air Ministry in 1947 as an Auster AOP6. It carried the RAF serial VF611 and served with Air Observation Post Squadrons both in the UK and Germany until 1957. A few years later it was retired back to the factory, having accumulated 942 hours.

The Auster was acquired by Beagle in 1960 and VF611 was destined to become of the Beagle-Auster civilian AOP6 conversions, later to be renamed the Beagle Terrier. This example became G-ATBU, a Beagle A.61 Series 2 Terrier, the same as that of G-ASMZ modelled by Dave Molyneaux recently and now available from www.classicbritishfiles.com
