    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

    To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

So, I'm watching the Nationwide race, and during the rain delay they interview Austin Dillon, driver of the NUMBER 3 car. And he has a crew member holding an umbrella for him during the interview. Has NASCAR gone to hell or what? That poor crew member looked like he wanted to crawl under a rock. If his job wasn't involved he would surely have told precious Austin to go to hell and hold his own damn umbrella. Can you believe this? This is NASCAR?? What a wheenie. I don't care how fast his car is.
 
Speaking of rain...
Rain has been predicted to occur halfway through the race....wonder if NASCAR will move up the start time :ques:

Agreed.

I saw marines forced to do the same thing a few weeks ago, that was much worse.
 
a couple things here.....first,the Dillion brothers are spoiled brats,when they first came to the ranks of NASCARit was said they worked hard to work theyre way up the ranks of racing to reach their goals....fine and dandy...but its not hard to do when you have your wealthy grandfathers money backing you,and hiring people to assist you on your little street stock...and yes..it did happen...their father mike? Dillon confirmed it once time in an interview.so it doesnt surpise me a bit to see these boys having someone else holding the umbrella,spoiled is as spolied does.....:isadizzy:


but as to the drivers use of an umbrella,,some have one some dont....but if its raining really hard..you dont want to get your firesuit soaked and then climb back in the car for another 100 laps ( yes i do know last nights rain came with 30 to go),but my point is,,its nasty it sit in that seat in wet clothing and try to concentrate on the job at hand when your butt is all squishy...
