Auto-gyro in 2010.

This thing is pretty cool! It's a German MTO Sport, build by Auto Gyro GmbH: http://www.auto-gyro.com/en/Gyrocopter/Gyrocopter/

According to the owner it only needs 50 meters for take-off once the Rotax engine spins up the rotor to 200 rpm, and can land vertical. It's made from carbon fibre and fibre glass around a steel chassis.

Yep, €44,000 euro (Without taxes) is quite affordable!

(Not for me though, so if anyone's willing to do an Fs model.. :kilroy: Nudge nudge, wink wink.. ;) )

Edit: FsX pilots might recognize the Aircreation ultra light standing next to it!

+1 for an FSX model. :)
There are a bunch of these flying about Ireland. My folks have a field suitable for use as an airstrip with associated storage facilities...now to find €44k + taxes + flight training costs+ insurance +?? ....:d
