Automixture Gauge (FS9/FSX)

Bjoern

worst developer ever
This small gauge will control the mixture levers whenever they are in a range of 10 to 95% to set a target value of 0.083 for the fuel-air-ratio. The limited mixture lever range enables you to shut down the engine(s) by moving the lever to "idle cutoff" or to use a "full rich" setting for startup or emergencies.

There's also a second variation of the gauge which will switch between "auto rich" (FAR = 0.083) and "auto lean" (FAR = 0.06) with the state of the autopilot's "altitude hold" mode.

Use either variation, but not both.

This gauge is the ideal solution if you don't want to use, or can't use, FSX' "auto mixture" setting, yet have an aircraft that actually has an automatic fuel governor, e.g. the CalClassic propliners.

Made with FS9 in mind and should work in that sim. Works in aircraft with 1 to 4 piston engines.

Got a complaint about the undue autopilot interference, so I've uploaded a new revision. There's only one gauge now with four modes of operation (idle cutoff, auto lean, auto rich, emergency rich) that can be controlled by keystrokes. Key assignments may be altered with a bit of tinkering and the default mixture control keys are still usable. Read the readme!
