This is the star of the show, and my favorite single aircraft on the face of the planet (obviously I'm looking forward to seeing this as well!) : )

One of the most original/complete Mitchells flying, amongst other original hardware it has a fully out-fitted and functioning top-turret and tail-turret. The nose art was painted by the same individual that painted the nose art during WWII, using the same paints besides (who also painted the original "How Boot That" during WWII and following its restoration - aircraft of the same group/squadron). Until his passing, "Miss Mitchell's" original Crew Chief, Ray Ostlie, was one of the leading figures at the CAF Minnesota Wing.

In his honor, "Miss Mitchell" flew as the lone B-25 in a flyover during Jimmy Doolittle's funeral, in 1993.

(In some period photos, "Miss Mitchell" has the nose-mounted swivel gun, and in others it does not. Earlier this year the nose-mounted swivel gun was re-installed.)

Well, no word yet on the order placed on October 30th. I thought they would be released on November 11th and shipped shortly thereafter. :kilroy:

Wittpilot, can you find out the status??

:ernae:
Thanks

Hey Warhorse.... I haven't gotten mine either... I was hoping yesterday or today... no dice. If they officially didn't go on 'sale' till Friday, a holiday, they may not have been shipped until Saturday, or Monday....

(edit) I just went to their FB page, and it says this:
[h=6]The Restorers
After a flurry of shipping our first orders, we're ready for more![/h]So I am hoping it is on the way!!!

PS, If I splurged for the Blu-Ray and don't see myself anywhere through the whole film, I'm going to punch a baby............

Oh, thats so not cool...........
humpf.....

Please let me know if you happen to come across this goober anywhere ...

FYI, not easy to take a flattering self-portrait in the nose of a B-25......

Its been a good day today! I got this in the mail, as well as the latest Warbird Digest issue.

(The South St. Paul/Fleming Field airport where Miss Mitchell calls home, and where there is a lot of footage from, is only about 4 miles from me - both the airport and the planes there have been a part of my life as far back as I can remember)

Oh this is not fair !!!!! So much for pre-ordering!!!!!
Okay, okay. I promise not to tell you the plot. I can tell you it was a really great addition to my special aviation DVD collection. And, no, I didn't see you in the film. Sorry. But thanks again for letting us know about its release.

Called today and talked to Adam White himself... Very nice, within about 15 seconds he had my order brought up and it showed that it shipped last Monday. He told me to give it till tomorrow, if I didn't have it then, to email him and they would take care of me.... Super nice guy....

I finally got my copy in the mail... Ended up emailing Adam and he was more than willing to ensure I had my copy to me the next day.

The downside? I didn't see me anywhere either!!!! You can see me if you freeze frame at the exact moment when they pan from the hangar at Grimes over to the B-25's starting....

Some more shots... one from the backside of the Raiders in the scene they replay quite a bit in the film...
