Avro Lancaster and B17?

Is there a good freeware Avro Lancaster?

I thought Classic British Flight Sim had one, but I cannot find it.

Failing that, which is the best payware version, the Just Flight or Plane Design version?

Is there a good freeware B17 as well?

Thanks

Aerolane Heaven aka Just Flight for the Lanc (buy from AH, it costs less!) and
treat yourself to the SOH 'Donationware' B17, only $15.00 and proceeds go to keeping the site running.
As good or better than A2A aka Shockwave BTW.
:jump:
The A2A Lanc is not as detailed as the AH version but is less FPS hungry.

Dave Garwood did a nice freeware Lancaster, doesn't seem to be up at CBFS, but should be available at Avsim/Flightsim etc.

It might need a bit of tweaking dynamics wise, although I remember it as being pretty reasonable.

Oh ya, it's a great little gem. I've done a couple of repaints for it HERE and a soundpack for it called lancsnds.zip at Flightsim.com which uses actual sounds that Des Braban and I recorded from the only two airworthy Lancs in the world. It's a model for Fs2002 but it has an update which makes it functional in FS2004.

Thanks for this post, i am flying this plane over in CFS2

but also fly in FS9 and i have a buddy in the UK whose dad was a tailgunner on an Lanc and i fly in honour of him. I found a quad working turret that i hope to figure out how to mount also...

FlightSim Refuses to give that link for that pack no matter what i type in, i am now going thru the 300 plus 2004 sound files one by one....

here is what is I DID find...

bomber1.zip by Mike Hambly, Lanc on a bombing run...requires this file as well: 4MERLINS.ZIP which is FS98 Sounds for a Lanc also by Mike
also found lncsnd1.zip... FS2004 Lanc sound package by Des Braban

FINALLY found it,

Sorry you're having trouble. it's there. Go to Flightsim.com

log in - search file library - " lancaster sound" The page is displayed with my/Des' file right at the top. lancsnds.zip

Dave Garwoods Lancs are great, had them in CFS2 for years, still there infact. For more repaints, check under Sopwith Chameleon here at the OH. There's a few pages there, worth a search through to spot some other real gems. Although for CFS2, the will work fine in FS9.

I also did a couple of Lancs myself, not up to Sopwiths standards tho, click my sig below if interested. Pics below. EMH is Sopwiths handy work, only screenie I could find.

UPDATE:
