So... here's another 'maybe' paint for Nigel's Avro ; this time for the Floatplane version.
I found a reference that mentioned G-ABIR was retained by Air Service Training Ltd , at Hamble , for floatplane training at outbreak of WW2;
not being transferred (impressed into service) to military marks as HM504 until 1941, when it's C of A expired.
So here it is in the camouflage civilian marks typical of WW2, and more often seen on the likes of BOAC transports.
A version of G-ABIR is in the original package ; here I have given it the Townend ring (after finding a photo of sister-ship G-ABIS similarly attired)
