Avsim's server problem getting worse (chronically)

Avsim's downloads library is becoming more and more unreliable....server problems again. Think Avsim will have to seriously look at upgrading their systems, a huge number of people go to Avsim and download heaps, not surprising really. Not looking good with continuing breakdowns.

They are currently modernising the library and therefore it is currently down. Seen this from the FSX forums:

They are.

But unfortunately they also have to spend a lot of time messing around with some umpteen dorks complaining in the AVSIM forum that they can't access the library...

They have also had an Idiot from Poland trying to crack the server root password to take over the server. Good luck to them they have had a hard last couple of months.

Sorry they are having problems. I tried this morning (May 9) and still getting the error message about the data base. I miss the library. I have two favorite download sites. Flightsim.com and Avsim.

I used to prize AVSIM above all others as a downloader, but for almost a year now I have been unable to download anything from there...

The File LIbrary is OfflineWe regret that the AVSIM File Library is currently offline. They have been talking about this for awhile and the answer maybe that they shut it down for a couple of months until it is fixed.
