The skin depicts B-17G s/n 42-32076 of 401st BS / 91st BG, Bassingbourn.

This aircraft flew 24 combat missions before landing in neutral Sweden with engine troubles on May 29, 1944.

Nice effort Roxane-21.

Just some additional info. This nose art and unit ID are used on the Air Force Museum B-17G today, although it is painted in OD camouflage to hide the patches and metal work necessary to restore damaged areas. It was always in natural aluminum during its time with the 91st BG.
