CAUTION!! This thread contains pictures of poorly painted nudity, view at your own discretion!! LOL, ok, got that over with.
The following repaints were uploaded today. These are for the payware Virtavia B-24J. On a side note, I bought mine back when Virtavia was still Alphasim, so if you bought yours when they were Virtavia, you might have to make some adjustments to the names in the CFG entry I provided.
These pics don't really show the shine in the metal. I think once you install the repaint, it will look different than my pictures.
1st: B-24J-150-CO, 'Booby Trap/Miss Jolly Roger, from the 5th Air Force, 90th Bomb Group, 321st Bomb Squadron, Bu No.44-40193. This aircraft had two names and two different Nose arts.
2nd: B-24J-150-CO, named 'The Butchers Daughter'. The Butchers Daughter, went down on a mission, en route to Formasa, 15 May 1945. Five minutes after takeoff, the bomb bay tank overflowed, flooding the bomb bay with gasoline. 30 seconds after this discovery the plane exploded. One of the crew (S/Sgt. Donald C. Ruff) survived the crash, regaining consciousness under water with small pieces of aluminum floating around him. He inflated his Mae West and went to the surface where he was subsequently found by a PT boat. Pilot - Lt. Roy D. Breedlove.
3rd: B-24J-190-CO 44-40973, 'The Dragon And His Tail' of the 64th BS/43rd BG, Le Shima, mid-1945.
