This B-26B was operated by Civil Air Transport during Operation Haik, the CIA's attempt to destabilize the Sukarno government of Indonesia in 1958. It was flown by Alan Pope when it was shot down on an anti-shipping strike, becoming the first combat loss (at least outside of China) for the airline that would later be renamed Air America.
