Just a bit of feedback to those of you who have downloaded the 24. Post some screen shots please. It is about the only way we know if the plane is being used. Greg's site does not have a download counter so we do not know how many have been d/l'd. Putting in several hundred hours of time needs to be put into perspective. If few people are accessing the planes and such then .....

Downloaded all of the B24's and having as much fun as I can have with'em at the moment. Unfortunatly I'm a bit short of spare time, so I don't fly very often.

Nevertheless, I installed them in MAW and ETO and practiced a bit "starting and landing the heavys", which is quiet challenging, but doable.

Reading your post, I suddenly realised that I didn't even thank you (and the others involved) for this extraordinary bird yet!

So therefor here is my official

:naturesm::guinness: thank you :guinness::naturesm:

for all the modelers, painters, hosters, missionbuilders, FM-ers, etc etc........

:wavey:Hey NachtPiloten Why dont you set up a poll asking Did you d/l it, do you fly it, do you like it.

:kilroy:Just a suggestion

ps :applause:I love it.

I just heard about them last night from a Veteran flyer here and downloaded them and thank you very much, they look beautiful. Really appreciate this, because my FP B 24J did not make it through a system upgrade...and i was really wanting to try to find a replacement.

Can i substitute this for some of the missions that were done for ETO using the FP 24J? i was thinking maybe if i just copied all of the 24D files into a 24J folder it might fool the sim but wanted to ask here.

thanks again for the beautiful plane.:salute:

I suggest you open the mission file using notepad and in "edit" click on "find and replace". In "find" put the name of your FP B24 and in "replace" insert the name of Ted's B-24. Save and close. That's all. If you want to be totally safe, also make a copy of the mission and store it somewhere out of the game folder.

Cheers

My Liberator

First of All, Thanks to all involved in making this wonderful aircraft.

Ted! Wow 700 hours just for one plane? There is no way to express my sincerest gratitude for all of the efforts placed into this bird!

Also Note I have Ted's excellent Dornier 217 Nightfighter if he needs to know who all downloaded this bird as well.

Just some pics of the B-24 then, cockpit at Dawn and the landing at Noon, I downloaded her last week sunday I believe. Never looked back since. She makes me more proud of her than my AVH B-17. Also, the fact that I have one of the bombers that used to fly for the RAF out of the Bahamas to Europe is truly remarkable. I have a piece of Flying History!

Thanks to all.

Hi Ted,

I have downloaded them, great work mate. I have been tinkering around a bit as you know with some extra's that others might be interested in.

an idea started by vogelscheuche and taken a bit further by myself.

regards Rob.

Back in pre-release posts I think that I recall seeing the new B-24 in some other skins, like Coastal Command and US Navy. I was wondering if those are going to be released.

You tell me to be be patient, but then you post that screen shot. How cruel.

Just kidding. That baby looks loaded for bear, in addition to the skin. Looks like a lot of work. Thanks.
