Back home again - with a Purple Heart

Mr Jordan

You are My Hero!!!! I will show and tell this to my class on Monday the 15 of August. They will love this....... Will you be able to walk again???? Have kids??? and Family????? I pray yo will!!!!!!!!! Bye!!!! From Hannah (waves)

Oh yes, I'll be fine. :)

I will be able to walk, but I might have a limp. Depends on how well my ankle heals.

My ankle was the only thing injured in the blast - I'm no hero, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got banged up is all. :) All I did was sit in the back of a truck.

Thank you. :)

One of my best friends has a son that just deployed to Iraq. A few of weeks ago, his convoy was hit by an IED. Allen was four miles back and still felt the concussive force of the blast. My friend here in the states attended the funeral as a member of the Partiot Guard Riders. I wish I had been able to go as well. I say these things because it gives more of a perspective of just how lucky you and your friends were on that day. Don' feel that you cheated your way to that medal, it's well earned. It seems that there are fewer new PH winners that are living to tell the tale these days.

Thank you so much for your service and sacrifice! And if you ever make your way to North Carolina, hit me up here or on FB - you've got a nice tall beer waiting for you!:icon29:

Damn! Just saw this now. Glad you're still alive and able to tell. Hope you'll recover fully, and soon! Thanks for serving!

Francois

:salute: well, that's a heck of a way to earn a ride home :icon_lol:
just glad it wasn't worse, and good to hear that it's healing well.

good luck on your convalescence :medals:
