A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - France

Description: This is Baldy´s LeO-45 and 451 series of aircraft.

The panel is from the package that was in the old SOH library.
Aircraft, Air- and DP files by Peperez, also from the old package.

All credits whatsoever belong to the original creators, none to me!

Skylane,

Thank you for your efforts trying to cobble all the assembled pieces together. This will make things a lot easier. :encouragement:

Upgraded files for Baldy's / Skylane's Leo 451

This upgrade includes :
1) A new 2D panel and a new VC panel based on the former panel (by Peperez) included in the "baldy package"
This new panels have been reworked to look more like the real panel of the bird (see the docs provided), with some view toward the front compartiment.
2) A new DP with :
- new boxes to look more like the real shape of the bird (see the blue print in the doc provided)
- a gunner and a machine gun added in the nose (like in the german version of Baldy) : unfortunatly the gun is a Lewis, instead of a MAC 34 machine gun, as there is no such gun available in CFS2)
3) New textures for the lower turret with transparent glasses

I did not made new boxes in the original Baldy/Peperez's dp, I just modified the shape of the wing boxes that were a bit to thick in the original DP

Of course, all the work done for this bird still belongs to BALDY, DOMBRAL, PEPEREZ (Pepe Rezende), ALAIN BRETON and KELTICHEART

Beepee,

Many thanks on your effort to try and "beef up" the model package. I'm sure skylane would be thrilled...improvements are always welcome.

Beepee, thank you for your work improving the LeO-451!
It is very exciting to now have a very good model of this little-known, but interesting plane in our virtual hangar!
Ok, I'll spill the beans now. For some time I've been working on a Vichy-French campaign in the Middle East. During the research for this I became aware of the LeO-451 for the first time, as it was used extensively in this campaign. I used the model that was available here as AI in several missions, and thought it would be nice to have at least one mission flying this plane. But now the problems began, as it had no panel, but some sort of VC, which made using other panels difficult.
SOH Member Finn came to the rescue and gave me an older package of this plane, with a panel, but without VC.
I found out that this panel works with the newer VC-equipped model, and so, with Rami's help, put together this new package.
The new panel and improved DP makes it even better!
And I was already considering, when I ran into the panel problem, to skip the mission and just use the plane as AI! I'm really glad I brought this up in the Forum, so now we have this great model!
Thanks again to all involved in building it!
