Basler BT67 assistance request

SOH-CM-2014
I came across a Basler BT67 over at Avsim that had a small issue, the flaps had no animation. After contacting the author David Kolas he was happy to allow me to post this in the hope that someone could provide said animation as he was unable to make it work. I don't know what all is needed for this to happen but if someone were to take it on I'm sure David would provide any information needed. I've always thought this was a worthy aircraft for FS9 and am hoping this little boost might also lead to some new textures as well. Thanks for reading and thanks for any help. The base aircraft is basler_fs9_v11.zip over at Avsim.

aeromed202; you don't say whether you have access to the model source file. If the aircraft was created in Gmax, you would need the relevant Gmax file to set up the animation. :)

Nigel, this is what David said: "these files are to big! your contact has to import the modelfile of the BT into modelconverterX and then export this file as gmax file. It is so simple as that! I try to animate the flaps with FS Design Studio. That cauises bis problems. I'm nozt so familiar with gmax, so I skip it."

I don't want this to die on the vine so I am going to encourage David to register with SOH because I can see me acting as a gobo is just not going to be pretty. Hopefully if he does he can work with someone directly. If he chooses not to I'll try to have him email me what he has.

There is no way to go from Model Converter X straight to gMax. You have to Model Converter X to a .3ds than import the .3ds into gMax than re-smooth and re-animate the model.

Done that a lot. Mostly for CFS2 but have worked with FS04 models. Not really fun as the wire frames for most FS04 models are hard for me to read and this makes re-animate a pain in the butt.
