• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

'Battlestar Galactica Side-Arm Question?..'

So what is that thing underneath the barrel of the FN...:ques:

If I remember right, it's supposed to be some kind of miniature, single shot rocket launcher.

I think the only time it was used or referenced was during the episode "Valley of Darkness", since there are references to "explosive rounds" in the episode, and Lee is seen loading what looks like a miniature mortar round into the thing under the barrel.

Sci-Fi movies and TV shows are always better when real firearms are used, either as-is or modded up. Star Trek as yet to field a really cool firearm.
Han Solo used the same pistol(Mauser C96 "Broomhandle") as Winston Churchill used in the Boer War. A long time ago in a continent far far away...

Hey RR6, from what I understand, they've quit making the fiveseven now....:kilroy:

AFAIK, FNH is still making/importing the FiveseveN series. The original DAO-only model is discontinued and the SA Tactical too. I haven't heard anything that the SA USG (and it's OD and FDE colored sisters) are no longer available anyway.
