BBC Battle of Britain Documentary

Hi,
I don’t know if anyone has highlighted this before, but there is a rather good BBC TV documentary presented by Actor Ewan McGregor and his ex Tornado Pilot brother Colin to commemorate 70 years since the Battle of Britain. It’s rather long (about one and a half hours) but there is some good film of Spitfires, Hurricanes and Tornados and shows Colin going through the training process to fly a Spitfire, which isn’t as straightforward as you might think.

I'd like to watch that! I tried the web page and it says, "Not available in your area," where "my area" = eastern North Carolina. Anyone know of another (legal) source?

BBC iPlayer is Geo-locked so it's unavailable to view outside the UK.

You could try a proxy,if you wanted.

Sorry, I didn’t realise that it wasn’t available outside the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />U.K.

I've spotted a few very nice documentaries on the "Military Channel" here in the U.S. this last week, in commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. One in particular, that premiered for the first time, was called "Warbirds of Europe" (sub-titled "The Fighters") that was really just superb. The show, made this year, is packed full of modern and very recent footage from Duxford and other UK-based airshows, including in-flight cockpit views, along with modern interviews and archival footage. Covered within the show are Hurricanes, Spitfires, 109's, 190's, P-51's, P-40's, P-47's, Yaks, and at the end, the ME-262, among a few others as well.

If you get the channel, I very highly recommend looking for it if it airs again!
