Becker and Robinson He-P.1079s

Becker and Robinson He-P.1079s Version one

No permission to download
Unhappily, the B model (without a tail) refuses to quick combat despite all FS2004 garbage (CRASH CHECK) retired from model. Wait! That's a good news: Matt Robinson open his GMax sources to generate a CFS2 native model.

In my opinion, both panels are bad. The A model panel seems a science fiction steam punk nightmare, but is the best of the two planes. The B model uses a modern approach. If possible, a new panel based in the Heinkel 280 one would be an enhancement. I'm looking for volunteers.

Pepe... if you use the mdlc117 to convert it to cfs2 format ,it will NOT disable g_lightstates... that's why it doesn't like QC.

Also probably stupid to ask... but does the B have functional landing gear?

The fs2004 you converted is actually fs2002 model.... not a biggie, they're both simple models... virtually the same... just landing gear keyframe changed and doesn't convert.

Greetings, all...
If that's the model of the 1079 with a tail that I remember, actually the model needs tweaked in a couple areas... 1) the 1079 actually had a swept tail according to drawings I've seen, and 2) the landing gear legs actually swing from the rear of their bays, sort of like an Ar-234, I think... why does that matter? Years ago, I was trying to put together a .air and aircraft.cfg set for it, and she would tip back on her tail when I matched the contact points to the main wheels...
Back when it was released, I was hoping that the author would revise it, but he never did that I'm aware of... if he had, I was going to possibly finish an FDE set for it, and maybe repaint it... but what the heck, it's still pretty nice to have in CFS2 in any case...

Cheers, Mike Z.

There was two Heinkel P,1079A available designs: one with straight V tail and another with swept tail. No one can guarantee what is correct, I like the exterior but dislike the texture and the panel. The contact points are working.

Becker and Robinson He-P.1079s - Two different Heinkel designs made for a Luftwaffe bid build by two simulation masters

Andreas Becker and Steve (RATT) Robinson built two of the five designs made by Heinkel (all under the same designation) to a Luftwaffe bid for a night fighter project. The first of these advanced designs, the Heinkel P-1079A, was basically developed as a two-seated night fighter of traditional configuration. The pilot and the gunner/navigator were sitting in tandem position. The wings were swept back 35 degrees, mounted to mid-fuselage. The tail had a V-shaped rudder. The armament were three...
