FSX Beechcraft Model 99 Package. The Beechcraft Model 99 was produced by the Beech Aircraft Corporation (previously the Beechcraft Division of Raytheon and now a unit of Hawker Beechcraft). It is also known as the Beech 99 Airliner and the Commuter 99. The 99 is a twin-engined, unpressurized, 17-seat/15 passenger turboprop aircraft, derived from the earlier Beechcraft King Air and Queen Air. More than half the Beech 99's now in service are operated as freighters. Full package for FSX/SP2 including custom panel and VC. The package includes four liveries and both passenger and cargo versions. By Jean-Pierre Brisard and Bob May - Premier Aircraft Design.

I saw that. So...anyone try it yet? Any reports or screenies?

Yup, got it, love it! Lots of power for short field takeoffs, and powerful reverse thrust makes for very quick braking, making it ideal for backcountry bush strips. Nimble without being over responsive, cruises at approx 195 knots at 70% at 5000 Ft. Full flaps and 60% power gets you a ride down the ILS approach at 100 knots.

Grab it, you won't regret it.

Remember, not FSX Native...but a great addition to anyone's hangar, regardless of what host simulator. Thanks PAD for another great aircraft:ernae:

I've got it too. Biggest issue I've had has been the starter switches. They work in FS9, but in FSX they don't always work correctly. Swapping them with the stock starter switches from the 2D cockpit of the Beech 350 King Air solved that problem. Sadly, solving that problem has sparked my interest to the point I've repainted the interior of the cargo version, reworked the VC panel, and am now starting on a paint job.

Oh, and it flies nicely. More nimble than a King Air.

I know that too well. :icon_lol:

It's like a bunch of snow falling from a tree and ending up in an avalanche. :icon_lol:

If some time is taken and shadowing is added this could be a very good looking plane. I think what it needs is a photoskin.......

When you're finished can you email me the texture folder so I can share it with other simmers on the PAD website? www.support(at) premaircraft.com

Holy cow! You've been reading my mind. I think I'm just about finished with the panel lines and some exhaust effects. I was thinking I'd need to contact you regarding releasing my tweaks. I call them tweaks because I started with your paintkit and the skins included in the original download. I've added some things and tweaked some others, but I cannot, in all honesty, say this is 100% mine. I'll be happy to share my work once I'm satisfied it's finished.

I really wanted to give it some seriously heavy exhaust effects, but the flap texture mirroring proved to be a bit of an obstacle.

I still need to apply the new panel lines and such to the passenger version. Then, I think it will be ready.

When will it be ready? In the immortal words of Oleg, "two weeks, be sure!" :icon_lol:

Files sent to PAD for evaluation this morning. :mixedsmi:

The files are now packaged up for download and available on our Paint Kits page. As a bonus there is also a C99 Ameriflight repaint done using stansdds's kit in the PAD Paint Shed.

Our thanks to stansdds :applause:

Bob.
