Beech on skis

hurricane3

SOH-CM-2025
I just installed the Beech D 18 on skis from here(the one by Milton Shupe) and none of the instruments work and two ,I think the altimeter and airspeed are missing.I redownloaded in case I had a bad file but same thing.
Milton is too good a designer to make an instrument panel just for show ,so I figure it must be something I'am doing wrong.
Any ideas?

If none of the gauges work/are present then the gaugefile(s) probably are not in the right place.
They should either be in the ..\fs9\gauges folder or the ..fs9\aircraft\beech18skis\panel folder.

Do you have the regular beech 18 installed?
the version with skis may not be the full package and rely on the base package to provide the gauges.

Or you could alias the panel to the regular Beech 18. (That's what I did)

Found it

I found Miltons wheeled D 18 on SOH installed it and now the ski version panel works. Thanks guys I would never have thought of that.

I apologize for the problems I caused you.

I did not include all the .cab files in that release; the panel folder was only partly populated.

I guess most people had the original D18S or got around this by aliasing or copying the cab files to the ski version.

It is interesting that no one has reported this issue to me after all this time.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention and I apologize for not being here to help sort it out.

Thanks to all of you that assisted.

The only reason I'd aliased it was that I've got my Beech 18 panel tweaked like I want it and use the same panel for all versions. I never realized there was a problem with it.
