Before I Click The "BUY" Button...

Yep that's CFS3 all right,
Saitek as a brand is fine, but not sure re that particular model - hopefully someone with the same one can comment.

Can't swear, that your ST 290 will be OK, but they're still listed as avialable, without any footnotes. So why not ? If it's got a USB it should work. Of coarse I'm partial to Siatek EVO force-feedback, but they both look the same in the picture :ernae:

Was my understanding that the DVD version does not require disc in the machine in order to run OFF? Is that incorrect?

That's what I hear, can't personally swear to it. Never had one :kilroy:

Well... I'll let you know. (Just bought it.) :applause:

WARNING: OFF is extemely addictive, unless you are very easily satisfied, you'll find yourself, justifying a new computer, to the guy you see everytime you shave :applause::applause::applause:

Hey OldSimmer, I also had the ST290 Pro for a long time. It worked great. After a year or so and so many close combats in P1 and 2 the trigger button wore out and I had to squeeze the trigger button pretty hard. I took it apart and found that i had bent the metal tab inside that makes the internal functions work. I took the tab out and bent it back but i couldnt get it back inside the stick where it goes......its like playing "Operation" with way smaller stuff:costumes:. So that was a good excuse for a new Saitek.

So in a stressful dogfight just be conscious of how hard your squeezing that trigger!

2 Polovski and OFF-team: If OFF 3 comes out (maybe!) at the turn of november, eventually early in december, will you manage to send it until Xmas, please?

My new PC, TrackIRPro4 biding expectant OFF3...:kilroy:

Don't want to rain on anybody's parade there Baron, but do remember there are a few infront of you in the line. You ain't the first :costumes:

For those of us that know we are not near the top of the pre-order list it would be very helpful to know exactly where we actually are. So if we are near the bottom of a very long list we can find a nice comfy armchair to wait for our DVD to arrive.
