Begginer oops moment in Gmax setup

I was pn Milton's beginner tutorial #2 doing the let's get Gmax set up thing and ran into a problem that I suspect could be a big one.

Where does one obtain these Maxscript things? Mine is barren except for an empty folder.

They are in the SDK but you have to get the right SDK for the sim you want to build for (i.e. FS2004, FSX, FSX+Accel, P3D etc.)

Larry, I've got both the FS9 and FSX SDKs and I'm hoping to model a few aircraft for both sims.

Hi,

You need to set up each gamepack as described in the SDK, and use the shortcut provided in that SDK to start GMAX when compiling for that sim. I have three such shortcuts to create aircraft on my Desktop, FS2002, FS2004, and FSX, and one to create FS2004 scenery.
