Bell CH-118 Iroquois Experts and Hueypilots !

Point Of Contact

Look online for the Canadian Air Forces Cold Lake Base site. If it is like the USAF you can find the PAO or Public Affairs Officer. Contact them and ask your question explaining why you would like the answer.

After quite a few searches and looking over many of their Rescue Helicopters, I found no others that had that (whatever it is) on the door. It was either just the fire extinguisher decal or the decal and a set of numbers. That particular one seems to be the only one with "that" on the door. If you do make contact with the Public Affairs Officer I would reference that particular chopper by tail number.

French abbreviation for "FIRE EXT" (fire extinguisher), eh? Just a guess, since most markings on Canadian aircraft are bilingual...

Wow :)

Many many THX for all your quick responses and help !
The question is not so easy to solve because all your kind help is related to the Bell CH-118 101 Iroquois http://hedgehoghollow.com/buzz/walkarounds/CH118.html

and the text on fire extingisher is clear :) written in white letters :

FIRE EXT
INSIDE HERE

but my research belongs to the Bell CH-118 104 Iroquois
which was stationed at the Canadian Air Force Cold Lake Base flown by pilots of the 417 squadron
the one with the horizontal line along the body

Try A Phone Call Monday

Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake. 4 Wing Cold Lake PO Box 6550 Stn Medly AB T9M 2C6. Telephone: 780-840-8000 ext. 8121. Fax: 780-840-7300. Explain why you are calling and ask for an email to 417 Sqn PAO. Though you may want to ask for the Sqn Historical Officer if they have one. Good luck. 417 SQN is currently flying the CH-146 Griffon according to their current website at Cold Lake. The site below says they last had the CH118 in 1995. I just did a quick search and there is no Ch-146 for fsx free or pay.

Thought this website could be of interest for serials.

Which CH-118

What sim and you using and are you using the Cera-sim or Jordan Moore Twin Huey for this project of yours? I actually have flown in both the SH2 Seasprite and also an Army Reserve UH-1D Huey a few (LOL) years ago and you peaked my interest in helo's again. A couple years ago I did some helo stuff here for AI Helicopters for Denton TX Airfield. Will have to get back into relearning in FSX after I'm flying again.
