Hello All,
The Good Times Gang at FlightSim would like to announce an event ... open to all .... both sim versions .... that will recreate and commemorate "Operation Vittles" .... or as it is more commonly known ... The Berlin Airlift.
This is produced by Glenn Broome VP of Multiplayer at DC-3 Airways ,,, the FlightSim Multiplayer Adventures Forum will simply be hosting on our servers .... FSHost and TS3 also housing what has become a rather large discussion thread at:
http://www.flightsim...740#post1805740
Have a look and let us know if you would be interested in participating.
The event is going to be broken up into four parts at around two hours a piece .... live, begining at 1900Z on 23 NOV which is a Saturday and will run at the same time on the next three consecutive Saturdays.
You are welcomed to participate in any one of the sessions or of course all four.
Glenn has ingeniously incorporated the use of FSrecorder in multiplayer to beef up the skies with hundreds of aircraft going about the routes that were actually flown in the operation.
If interested you will need to choose a route for the day(s) ..... these routes have the specific aircraft assigned to them that were used for this purpose .... an interesting selection of mostly propliners manufactured in the UK .... not just a bunch of DC-3's.
Impossible to make clear all of the details here .... please check out the thread at FlightSim.
Everything needed can be downloaded and installed from the DC-3 Airways website:
http://www.dc3airways.com/special_events/bal_4/bal.htm
Seems massive and it truly is, but every provision has been accommodated and included right down to the individual flight plans for each dispatch in all know extensions .... pln, fsn, fsc, etc..... scenery folders, all of the aircraft and their textures, all of the necessary FSrecorder files.
Hope some of you can enjoy all or part of this brilliant event by Glenn Broome.
Please post intention to participate and choice of route to the FlightSim thread.
Cheers,
Austin
