Well I just saw on MSMBC that Bernie Madoff is going directly to jail from the courthouse . This was the last time he saw his luxurious penthouse ! What a dam shame . I just retired last December and the thought of being one of those people that lost their entire retirement sickens me . Sure they had money but that rotten thief stole alot it . I'm also pissed that the SEC sat on their a-- and allowed this thieving ******* to rob people blind right under their noses . I am so looking forward (and hoping) that the investigators find ALL the " Co-conspirators " . Just think , Madoff's wife thinks she has the right to (?65 mil? or Bil ?). Hopefully she will be "Big Mama's girlfriend" in the concrete jungle looking at four walls too !:angryfir:

The US judicial system is one of thee most corrupt systems there are. Don't harbor the fugitives. Rid our society of them. Not to mention the taxes to sustain them.

And you're absolutely right about our judicial system, about the only system more corrupt is the banking system, followed closely by the health care system.

Nope, I'm 50/50 - American/Italian. I'm 100% equal punishment for the crime mentality. The Indonesians have a good system of punishment. No torture, no imprisonment. Deal with it now and be done with it. Move on.

I wasn't meaning to take over the topic. I could get very in-depth as/to my beliefs and the way things should have always been dealt with. Strange also, I am a registered voter in the state of Washington and received many jury summons. I always write them back to let them know where I stand and how I would vote. Because of that I have never had jury duty.

You and I both, never had to serve jury duty because I am too open in my way of thinking. Cannot be an unbiased juror because I know a perp when I see one and I might call the *** out by name. No sir, no judge wants to see me in his court as a juror.

When our names come up for jury duty, most of us old farts stay in the bullpen. We're too old and set in our ways to appeal to either the defense or the prosecution! :d

I've been called for jury duty but never had to serve on one. I'm rather rigid about punishing the guilty myself.
 
To sit and listen to the people who trusted this tird and lost all there retirement,investments...ect..ect...sickens me that a human with that much greed can get off this easy. They need to take everything from his wife and everybody who had been flashing all the warning shots to the proper people...they should be held accountable as well.

Imagine if our "type" mentality ran the judicial system. How much of a better place we'd have to live.

But that's my sole opinion. There's always an environmentalist type to boohoo for those guilty.

The game of chess is a strategy mind. In today's world we are all chess pieces. We don't have any clue what our next move will be that we will be put into, until we hear a PFFTTTT as the $hit hits the fan and it's too late. Today's world for instance. We're all in the same toilet no matter how you look at it. On one part of the globe the water spins clockwise, the other, counter-clockwise.

I say let the people have the deciding vote as/to what penalties will be:friday:

And I hope they take that 70 million away from her just for being his wife. He more than likely put a lot of what he stole in her name too.

I've been called for the jury duty interview only once, but never got to spout off on how I felt on the matter at hand. The accused got scare and plead quilty after seeing all of us old codgers sitting there. Damitall! I even carried "the" rope in the car. :d
