Seeing as how it's a new year, I thought it might be fun to look back on our favorite add-ons from last year - and to thank everyone who put so much effort into making them available to us.

My top three add-ons of the year:
Bob Park and the PTO team's Rising Sun
Steve Seybolt and John Whelan's Vindicator /V-156
Loic's Operation Dragoon missions

A big thank you to everyone who keeps this hobby fun with your fantastic creations. As for 2013, I'm looking forward to hunting down 110's in Ted's Mosquito!

So what are your favorites?

great thread idea!!!! how did I miss these missions????......off to dig 'em up
....guess mine were the immortals.... LZ's "Pedestal" pack...I've always had a soft spot for MAW, and the Hobbit's innumerable additions.....most notably "Missions Package 2"......thanks all............G

Thank You, very much..
I am very grateful to the many developers who have Blessed us all..
So many wonderful Aircraft, ships, items..

Rising Sun is a high point for me, great !!

And the list of Missions Masters leaves me in AWE..

Grateful for all the Masters who have made 2012 a year Full of add-ons and toys for a hobbit to wreck..
And there is Much Rejoicing!!

For me, the freeware people like Milton Shupe and his associates stand out. Also Dave Garwoods contributions. Payware? A2A and FTX are the stand outs. All in all another great year. Thank you all. There are others but my New Year brain is befuddled.

Ooops just noticed this is the CFS3 forum, but you get my drift. hic

Nice idea, yes RS is a magnificent piece of work (as they all are..); sadly my Win8 won't play the movie any more, [which I'll have to work on].

The new SB2C Helldiver [have n't seen it yet] would have to fit in 2012, wouldn't it?

It is indeed fine professional work is shared: thankyou all, for a privilege I never take for granted.

We've got one of Milton's creations here, the C-45 converted by Clive. It's a quality piece of work.

BEST ADDONS

I think that nearly all the addons produced by the devolopers and the hard work that has been done by everybody has given me great pleasure from major addons like rising sun through to even planes and missions I hope you al have a very happy new year and give us further enjoyment throughout the year.

"Best" may not have been the best choice of words on my part, I really meant what are peoples' favorites. I agree, I'm happy to have all of them. This place is full of some quite talented people. Sorry if there was any confusion.

For my part the whole SOH concept is the best thing, it allows every one interested in SIMs to exchange and profit from the collective knowledge:ernae:.
This beeing said, nobody should hesitate to donate in the Bandwith Drive.:salute:

I'm surprised nobody has yet mentioned the Bf109f which John and Co put out not long ago. It's a lovely model and fills a gap in every bit of CFS3 I really do use! So I'm thrilled to bits with both the Friedrich and the Buffalo of course! The Med wouldn't be the same without them.

Thank you Nigel! I would like to mention Ted's He-177: more late 2011 than 2012, but a very impressive bird and I hope it will feature in Ted and mongoose's upcoming TOW theatre. It sets my video card's fan running, but that's what a really detailed VC will do. It's not a rocket ship either, so you have to fly it, not bang the throttle to the firewall and disappear into the wide blue yonder. :salute:

I thought I had missed something.:icon_lol:

Stand-alones

I'm sure our Nigel can rustle up a skin or two for making stand-alone Friedrichs for MAW! I have the new F-2 in my MAW installation too. Until the F-2 Trop is ready, that is... :jump:

I haven't actually even thought of doing any skins for the Friedrich - let's wait and see what John has got up his sleeve first!

That's the original Friedrich from a long time ago - we were all thrilled to bits when it appeared, one of the first new aircraft for CFS3 in fact - but it's no longer up to current standards. Still worth having as an AI though.
