I am not very tech savvy... what is one supposed to do with this? I mean... obviously enter this data... but where??
 
Open in the aircrafts folder the Bf 109 G6/G10 you have. Then open the xdp - not the ai xdp, if there is one -

Then scroll down to the end, you have the effects section - change it with the new one.

Many 109G's have only two gun ID.This effects mod holds three;how will this effect the plane's operation? Should there be another modification made to the .xdp file?
 
There are three because the set seems to be based on what I made originally for ETO and then refined for the DL series of Bf 109G and Bf 109K uploaded by Nigel. Their .m3d files are edited to have three different guns, any Bf 109 outside that series has its machine guns grouped together and thus only has two gun IDs.
 
What would be the effect of using this mod on older versions with 2 gun ID's?
 
One of the guns would be missing part of it's effect, or the effect would be misplaced to the center point of the model.
