Bf-109 Problem

Hi guys,

I have a problem with the Bf-109G series by Captain Kurt and Team Daedalus.

When I use them in a Mission, and try to fly, I get the error message "Aircraft Initialization Error"
In MB, after I click OK, there is an additional message "Error loading Mission file. Either Mission file is corrupt or formatted improperly", and the Mission won´t start.
If I fly in the normal game, not Mission Builder, the mission starts ok after I click Continue after the first message.

If I use different aircraft in the same missions, they start ok, without any error message...
I have only 49 aircraft inthe install, so that is not the problem.

Any ideas about what could cause this strange thing???

Skylane,

I would check the aircraft.cfg file of the offending aircraft to look at how long the name of the aircraft is, and whether there are any commas, hyphens, or other abnormalities in the name entry.

Rami, you pointed me in the right direction!

Somewhere among all the Bf-109s I downloaded there was a file "Mission Friendly Messerschmitt Names", which contaibns config files for all the planes.

Guess what, with this config it works!

Thanks a lot!

Wolfgang,

I figured you knew enough to have gone through the "obvious" stuff like panel and sound aliasing. You also did a good job of describing specifics that the aircraft "partially" worked. It made it easier to focus a targeted guess, :encouragement:
