Big Radials Jetstar out of beta, headed for Marketplace

I paid in on early access and received 1.0.0 yesterday but not 1.0.1 as of yet, I assume they will get us caught up soon.

Just got 1.0.2, going to test it momentarily. The 1.0.0 had some autopilot issues that I can't sort. The manual is less than clear on the function of the A/P BUT most of us here have a lot of working experience/knowledge on various A/P coding quirks over the years. Will report back my test observations.

Late night break to report my Autopilot findings. Okay, we have the following controls/switches and issues: far right side of A/P panel: AFCS Engage/Off. Center, Turn Knob. Far left, Pitch Up/Down (which doesn't seem to work at times). Bottom button row left to right: HDG Sel (Heading Select which does work but may suddenly/inexplicably shut off). ALT (Altitude Hold). Radio (which I think is Radio NAV navigation hold which doesn't seem to work with GPS or the VOR radios). Turn that on and it cuts off the ALT Hold. APP (Approach Hold) doesn't seem to work yet. General behavior I noted: The Pitch Control doesn't seem to work at all. It will move the Trim Wheel but then the Trim Wheel resets itself to where it was before trying to change the pitch by that control. This condition exists with the ATL Hold on or off. Also, I have had the model overshoot both the altitude and the heading setting without warning when before it was working fine. The failure was spontaneous, no inputs of changes. Anyhow, am going to talk to Big Radials about this and see what they think. Otherwise, it is a fine model and flies very well by hand.

I bought this a couple of days ago. I wouldn't be as harsh as some might on this model. Since I first flew, there have been two updates from Big Radials that addressed the fuel consumption and AP issues. I'm still waiting for the AP update from the MP. It has a special place in my lineup as I used to work on them in the 80's. There are a few niggles that I hope get addressed, such as no lighting for the ADI/HSI. Makes it tough at night. Otherwise, I like the way it flies, not overwhelming in systems, but challenging enough. Can get into the air within easily less than ten minutes. It's stable and predictable... and fast, over 400 kts. I trust BR will take care of business and I support them.
