One of the default airfield in Golden Wings 3 is Biggin Hill by Gary Burns. As I realised the date from the stand alone version by Gary in our library is newer, I decided to install this version. The default GW3 version was could be found in the FSGW3/Addon Scenery/bhill folder, so I removed the files BHill.Bgl, 0_BHill.Bgl, 1_BHill.Bgl, 2_BHill.Bgl, 3_BHill.Bgl and 4_BHill.Bgl from this folder and moved the new bhill folder with contents in the addon scenery folder and activated it is normal.
Until now I never installed Ian's newer version. But after all the recent Battle of Britain topics I thought it was about time. So I installed today. I "unselected" gary's bhill scenery and installed Ian's RAF Biggin Hill as normal. Different scenery appeared, but I never had realised the asphalt was still wet as my aircraft sank deep in the runway. When I moved my aircraft from the run way, it suddenly was on "grass level" again. Also the AI is having a tough time, ploughing through the asphalt.
Ian's scenery had also a top camouflage system introduced, as during the approach suddenly all taxi track disappear, however the runways remain visible. There is obviously a "height" problem but where is it hidden?
As images often tell more than words.....
Gary's Biggin Hill
Default Biggin Hill without any addon scenery
Ian's Biggin Hill
