Black screen

This may be a stupid question, but i want to ask.. First off what a wonderful intro to Phase 3 praise to the whole design team!! :friday:

But i seem to be having a pitch black takeoff screen, it will start great but if i hit F4 to look around its all black.. (like Pitch Black) some light hangers in the distance, but everything else black and it will not give me the option to start outside of the cockpit even though i wanted to start UI.. (I clicked on the button specifically to not start in cockpit, to try to fix graphics, like on phase 2) I have updated my graphics card (Nividia)... Ive tried it all and i seem to be stumped? any ideas Devs? Thanks for taking a few minutes :help:

but besides this, the game looks wonderful

I am not sure I understand the issue you are having Blue but in workshops you can start the normal CFS3 QC via the menu button bottom left.

All features that are available in CFS3 can be set from the workhops - eg CFS3Config - the button is there -left most button of the top panel and you can set up all your CFS3 sliders.

It sounds like a vid memory overload what GPU card have you got?
Maybe tell me your PC specs

Re the black screen don't quite follow what you mean.. do you mean it is fine, except when you press F4 the screen goes dark but you can still see somethings?

Then it sounds like video memory, try reducing the terrain and scenery sliders and try again? Also check other graphics settings on your video card?

As WM says, if instead you want to see the CFS3 GUI with the craft sitting on the field and doing nothing then there are options - workshops "direct to mission" bypasses the CFS GUI although you are losing some of the whole point of seamless launch from manager to flight...
 
Thanks for the info both of you, i will definitly try that out now and see how it works ;)

Winder: I have a pentium 120 Gig with a Nividia Graphics card.. I know its not my Rig as i can play any game goin now (Farcry 2, etc...) so maybe its a setting issue I will try what you reccommended and get back soon!!

That is exactly the problem!! I guess its a setting issue, ill try that now
 
Boy do i feel like a fool it was definitly a slider issue.. after working with the CFS3 GUI and the sliders it works fine!!

Thanks for the help? and i will do report how bad i crash first time over the lines... hahahaha :friday:
