black windscreen in cockpit

Hey All,
I'm having an old problem again, never did figure it out. In CFS1 full screen mode, how come my panel windscreen is black? It is a panel for a piper saratoga from FS98. I've had this problem with some other panels so I just gave them the old heave ho! Is there a solution? Thanks for any replies.

Hi p0pr0ck:wavey:

An old problem with, fortunately, an old solution in Doug Attrel's "CFS1 Panel Clinic" to be found HERE.

This should take care of the matter. Tell us how it turns.

Open your panel.bmp with MSPaint. Figure out what the transparent colour is. Use the Eye dropper to pick that colour. Paint the 2x2 pixels at the upper left corner of your bitmap. Save & Exit. I do know it is the upper left corner that determines transparency. I know it is at least two pixels. I don't remember if it is 4 pixels.

Problem solved

Thanks to Hubba Bubba and Ivan. Both were right.
My panel_masking-off=0 was correct in the config file so I edited the top left pixels with mspaint (zoomed in). There was a tan curving piece at the top left as part of the cockpit. I edited just a couple of pixels at the top left to be black. ZIPPO! Problem solved. thanks again and Merry Christmas.
