Blackbox Islander BN2

Anybody a keen user of this beauty and happens to be a painter ? Looking for a coat of paint representing Air West Airlines out of Vancouver Canada ( southside of YVR ) which was operating CG KAW back and forth to Vancouver Island circa late 70's. This repaint is not to be confused with the "AirBC" texture presently available when you buy the airplane, that name appeared on the A/C when ownership changed hands in 1980.

I have the Islander, and I do paint a bit, but can you be a bit more specific about the paintscheme? Is this the one? https://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-West/Britten-Norman-BN-2A-8-Islander/1177654/LDo you have any more pictures, showing the right colors, or the logo?
Jankees, thank you for responding to my request ( honored ), you have nailed the picture I couldn't find , that's her ! If you punch into airliners.net the following call signs for Air West DHC6 Otters you should get a good feel for the colors .... CF GQE, CG IAW, CF AWF, CG EXW or if you go over to Neil Aird's DHC2 website, scroll down the title page and there is a great photo of CF OEY a Turbo Beaver in Air West colors. My summer job was washing these ladies and keeping the fuel tanks full, oh and hauling the luggage up to the waiting room ugh ! Anyway best I can remember the lower cheat line on the fuselage was a medium orange the upper cheat line was a dark orange, the rudder trim was a medium orange with a small vertical trim of dark orange at the end of the rudder. The company Logo was very simple as you will see which was all in black. Cheers for now

I have a better plan: tomorrow I leave on a holiday for about week, far away from my computer. If you collect those images and mail me the links or the images themselves, I will paint the Islander the weekend after I get back from Sweden. How's that?

https://www.dhc-2.com/current_cover_page.htm Hello Jankees, best I can do is provide a link with the picture of the Turbo Beaver from the DHC2 website ( approx the tenth image down from the top of the page ). Having trouble uploading any further pictures that may help with the paint job. Cheers and enjoy your week's holiday.

I would love to be able to say, "After I get back from Sweden." 😊 In my case, it would be more like, "After I get back from. Walmart." 😅🤣. NC

Ah, but I live in Belgium, which is so small that is it a bit like going to Walmart. For instance, if I go to my work, I go to another country (the Netherlands), and next week I am taking my students on a small fieldtrip, again to another country (Germany). Sounds exciting, but the distances covered are not that big. If I drive about 100km, to the North, South or East, I end up in another country. To the west, I get wet feet.
Mind you, Sweden was 1500 km...
