Blurries - P3D vs FSX

Folks,

One of the many things that's driving me to switch to P3D when I do a new install next week, is the desire to fly low at >200kts without the terrain textures turning into a blurry mess. Right now I can't do it in FSX.

I've seen a few posts hint that P3D is better with blurries. Do any of your experiences support that?

Thanks!

Given the wide variety of PC's/Laptops that folks run the sim on it's anyone's guess if yours will, not knowing what you have. If you have the system to handle it yes, it's possible but the main ingredient in this is the graphics card_NVidia 600 Series or better, DX11, at least 2gig ram. CPU of at least 3.5 or better. Texture management (loading) has been transfered to the graphics card freeing up the CPU to manage other areas. In order to have this function correctly you "must" activate Tessellation. It will also depend on your preferences for Autogen density, shadowing, and a myriad of other factors. If your system is strong then probably.

Normally P3D is quite a bit better handling or avoiding the blurries than FSX, but everything depends on the specs of your rig.

Would you mind posting them here? You don't really need a super rig to run P3D decently, but the bottleneck is the graphics card. A minimum of 2 Gb on it and DX11 compatible are required.

EDIT: if it is your "xoticpc" laptop you're referring to, it should do quite nicely!
