BN Islander VC screenshots !

Jesus, it looks like this is actually going to happen after all!! Looks great! :applause:

Does anyone know if they ever connected the KLN-90 to the FS autopilot so you can follow the flightplan you created on the unit? Back when I was testing the KLN and Islander, it wasn't possible. I'm just curious if it finally got implemented.

Thanks for the HU, that is a nice looking VC.
I really hope the nose is modeled in the VC since I always adjust my viewpoint up a bit and from those screens, I don't see it.

The nose drops away sharply so would you normally see it from the cockpit?

Looks very nice...might be my first Alphasim purchase

Hmmm, that's great to hear.
Another Airfix model kit from my childhood come to FSX. :applause:

Yes you are right! I remember flying my Airfix Islander across our farm - lost a nosewheel in a rough landing!

I also had kits of a V Tail Bonanza, Cessna Bird Dog, Hawker Tempest & Hurricane etc etc - many of which are now or are about to be available for FSX

The nose wheel was always the first to go. :icon_lol:

I remember taking the time to paint the interior on that one. Kinda rare for me at that age.
Funny to me the VC shots show the same color blue interior I had in my model. :d

you bring up a good point. I normally adjust my view as I like to see where I am landing, so seeing up and over and having the front modeled has always been important to me, but based of Dan's image he posted I went and checked A.net for cockpit photos and 20+ later could find none that showed the nose, mostly because the panel sits so high on this aircraft. And what tight, cramped cockpit, LOL.

From the noises at Alaphasim (and the forum these were posted), I'd say it is a Flight 1 product, with some work done by Alphasim and others! Still, it looks great though, whoever built it!

No, its an Alphasim product shipped by flight 1, Flight 1 will have had some input into how the final model should look / perform or criteira / standards they set for selling such items, but the model is 90% Alphasim so credit where credits due.

I've flown up front in a couple of Islanders and can confirm that the nose wasn't visible..at least to me (5ft 11"). :)

Just a personal thing, but I'd like to see a lot more weathering on the panel and in particular the cabin as the examples that I flew in were pretty tired (after 30+ years of continuous use servicing the Irish Arann Islands).
