• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

BOB is now available - first person mode for FSX!

What we may do, is host a public repository of BOB's .air and .cfg files so people can download different dynamic sets for him. I will ask Jay to create a section on the Orbx forums where new dynamics can be uploaded.

I downloaded, and had a walk around Sitka as well, having a blast with BOB.
My son (10) thought it was very cool (so do I) My daughter thought I was a LOOSER, which I take as a compliment here :kilroy::kilroy:, and so should you:ernae:

Has anyone been able to get Bob on a moving carrier?

I took Bob out to my model of the USS Monterey, which was working as an AI model following a track. In slew mode I tried to lift him up and bring him down onto the flight deck, but either I missed or he seemed to go right through the deck. I did find that if I slew Bob over to the carrier and elevated the eyepoint using keyboard keys, that I could come very close to matching the speed of the ship and got some very interesting views. Right now I'm toying with the idea of making a FSrecorder flight of a helicopter sitting on the flight deck and then modify the frc file to swap out the helicopter and put in Bob for playback.
