Hi

My bombs & rockets are not blowing up when they hit the targets, how can I fix that ?

The strangest is that bombs are explosing if I fly and bomb in the training mission with the Ju88

thanks for your help

Did you select the backspace key to cycle ordance loadouts?

If you don't do this then your bombs will not be armed.

Also, if your bombs are not exploding this can be one of a few factors:

1. With third party addons (any other aircraft added other than stock) the bomb loadouts wouldn't show because of an issue with the XDP files

2. Stock aircraft have been tested to perform in the game, if you recently added any new weapons whether it is groundcrew or avhistory you need to get them properly activated via the BDP nuker from avhistory. other than that, stock aircraft shouldn't give you any problems.

I hope this helps.

hi, thanks for your quick reply

what I do is the following:
1-If necessary I open the doors
2-I select the weapon with backspace
3-I "fire" with the enter key
4-I follow with weapon with F9 or F4 view for rocket

For the rockets, I can see smoke behind it, which might means that they are not dropped but really fired, but nothing happens at the impact
For the bombs.. it works with the Ju88, not for the B26..

I did not install any add-ons, I use the primary version..

May be I should re-install for the 4th time...

Okay, there might be nothing wrong at all.

The Ju88 and the B-26 are two totally different aircraft. For the B-26, there is little record in history where it was actually used as a dive bomber like the ju88. Its a level bomber that you have to fly at a certain altitude to drop your bombs. you might want to switch your views (f4) to see if your bombs hit the target in the B-26.

As for the Ju-88, you can perform dive bombing and level bombing missions. you don't really have a bomsite view in the ju88 except for the stock A-4 version. the others you pretty much have to practice on your own to get it right: (a tip: When dive bombing, drop your bomb slightly ahead of your target so that the velocity will place them on or closely near the target to get a kill)

As for rockets, the same thing happens to me, you wont see any explosions like in CFS1. However, don't be dismayed, watch any World War 2 newsreels or combat footage. Rockets really aren't seen exploding or hitting their targets, but somehow they still find their mark. With the bombs and rockets in CFS3, you might find them a bit confusing, but they will do their job. As for a re-install, my brother, only do it if you plan on getting the ETO, MAW, or DPC addons. Also you can do it if you want to get rid of some heartbreaking addons you don't like ( My Schmitfire is a prime example of that)

I hope this helps

I found !the solution !
translation mistake in the joystick command, to drop the bombs / rockets I had to chose "next way point" / "point de route suivant" instead of drop/fire weapon ... I don't know why. but it works
