Hi Good People,

At last the 64 Bonus Textures for the Edward Moore Ford Tri-Motor Project are completed and are available for download for your pleasure. There is also a Self Install Download available for all 64 in one file. This Full Self Installer is designed to add to the Full (300) Texture install.

Plus, of course, a little slideshow for you to view if you want to see what the Extra Bonus textures look like. If you want to have a quick look then click on the link below:

Edward still has some plans in the mill for some regional AI traffic texture sets for the Ford which will take a few more weeks to develop. Basically multiple side numbers for various existing aircraft and a couple of extra NEW ones here and there.

Anyway if you want to grab some or all of the Bonus textures then pop on over to my site and have some fun.

This has been, and is still is, a massive project that Edward and I have been working on for nearly 10 months. 364 Liveries for the Microsoft Default Ford Tri-Motor. Even if I say so myself, I believe throughout the project there is some outstanding artwork making many historical liveries for this incredible old girl. And there is a good smattering of vibrant eye candy for those who want to enjoy this girl as some fun entertainment. Remember this project is all FREE for the global simming community.

This project has absorbed a great deal of my time over the project length and I have been remise in actively keeping the overall flight sim community aware of my site and services and visitor rates have diminished to around 60% of my average daily rates.

If anyone feels so inclined, they could help me rebuild my visitor number by spreading the word to other simmers across the globe and to any interest groups they may belong to about the availability of this project and many others that are available at my site.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.:applause:

Hope you all are enjoying the results of this project and that it adds value to your flight sim experience.

Happy simming to all.

Congratulations Garry!

A mountainous wealth of textures, all to Garry's meticulous level of excellence. :applause:
(You must be shattered Garry.)

Always a pleasure to see and use work of these standards.

Thanks gentlemen,

Appreciate your kind words on the repaints - just need to spread the word about their availability to the simmers out there and hopefully many others can enjoy the liveries as well.

Any help that you can provide in letting the simming community know about the project will benefit two fold - one, more simmers get to know about and use them and two, my visitors numbers will move back to normal levels and the simmers get to discover the thousands of other liveries and support items I give to the community for FREE.

So feel free to spend a moment or two and let your friends know about the Ford Project available for FREE at my site - http://www.gjsmith.net

Sounds like I am flagarantly trying to push my site - and I am :wiggle: - but it is for a pretty good cause - I have been serving the Sim Community since 1998 with FREE liveries and aircraft for the enjoyment of all. And I think the Ford Project is something that offers some unique value to the simming environment.

Regards and happy simming.

All the best Garry!!! As stated before, congrats on this project, your brushwork is by far and away, some of the BEST! :medals: Keep up the good work, mate... and I'll be driving more "Aussie Bugs" (RAAF F-18 Hornets), and Sabres... :salute: And a few Tri-Motors to say the least. :australia:

Thankyou Garry!

How could anyone forget the generous contributions you have made to the community over the many years.

Particularly outstanding is/was the superb Civilian P51D Mustang work by Warwick Carter and yourself. Even today, I would advise anyone in search of 'the' P-51 to look no further (freeware or payware). It has it all.

Perhaps we may have the privelige of seeing some fine Aussie textures for the coming Grumman Tracker/Trader/Tracer project.

That would really be something.

Slightly off topic :)

Thanks mate - yes Warwick has created some outstanding models and I have been fortunate to have partnered him in all of the graphics for each of them. To mention a few:

(1) :wiggle:Of course the P51-D Mustang + 3D cockpit, probably one of the best ones out there and FREE with some pretty good artwork and textures by myself.

(2) Dasault Mirage III + 3D cockpit, again an outstanding aircraft and a bucket of artwork and textures for her by me - even a fun Police version with flashing red/blue becons on top of the cockpit - and Day Glow effects for both day and night.

(3) Tiger Moth + 3D cockpit - several various models for this girl and a plethora of textures by me.

(4) Macchi MB326H + 3D cockpit - Original by David Friswell - considerable revisions by Warwick - this one has a dual ejection sequence if you open the cockpit in flight - first time ever done by a developer for FS2004 - clever stuff - again artwork and textures by me.

(5) Gee Bee Z + 3D cockpit, this award winning aircraft with award winning artwork and textures by me was published in PC Pilot as the Star Download and was used as the Cover artwork in late 2006.

Warwick has gone pretty quiet on simming development but all of his aircraft mentioned above are still of an outstanding quality and in many cases still superior to aircraft currently being developed - not a slur on current developers just a note that Warwick's work was simply stunning stuff for it's time and is still "breathtaking" in FS2004.

It was indeed a privilage to partner with him and work with a modeller who graciously allowed me to do the artwork and textures for his work.

Bear in mind these are all FREE for your flight sim enjoyment.

All of the ones mentioned above are of course available on my web site http://www.gjsmith.net - take them for a run and I am sure you will be impressed.

Regards and happy simming.

OK - end of Off Topic Diversion - back to the Ford :icon_lol:
