An Australian banker was caught looking at images of topless women on his computer, unaware that his actions were being broadcast live on TV.

The worker at Australia's Macquarie Bank was at his desk looking at images of Australian model Miranda Kerr, apparently totally oblivious to the live television interview that was taking place behind him.

During the broadcast the man turns and looks directly at the television camera, realising his actions had been caught on camera.

The incident was reported in many of the Australian daily newspapers and has become a hit on Youtube, attracting over 390,000 viewers.

A spokesman for Macquarie Bank said it was taking the matter seriously.

"Macquarie has strict policies in place surrounding the use of technology and the issue arising from today's live cross on Seven News is being dealt with internally."

Welp, bein as how he turned and looked into the camera, I'm assuming the wife will be real happy when he gets home too!

:bump:

ooops..

Self control can keep your life's direction stable and in order.. Slip off that path, and you are suddenly on a roller coaster ride...

eeeks! :kilroy:

I can hear his explanation to his wife. "But honey, it was a pop up that just appeared on my screen! I had no control over it!"

Hope he likes the couch!

Hopefully he gets to meet Miranda now. He'll probably have lots of free time lol

I do that all the time...whats da big deal anyway...when Linda questions me about it...all I say is da guys at SOH sent it to me and I didn't know what it was till I opened it...lol:salute:

I can understand his interest

A guy I once worked with received a personal email to his work account with a number of pics of scantily clad laydees contained therein (nahhhh....they were actually completely naked :engel016::monkies:). Having perused the aforementioned eye candy for quite a considerable time he decided to forward the email to a number of the "guys" in work. This would have been a relatively non event.....except for the fact that he accidentally sent it to a wrong internal workgroup..........that included Management........Human Resources........and the Directors of the multi national company.

Ohhh, how we laughed at that one!:icon_lol: He was VERY lucky to keep his job after that little stunt!:bump:

I have had the unfortunate task of doing "Porno Hunts" several times as part of my job when "GUYS" got caught forwarding what they thought were harmless pictures, unfortunatly in todays workplace it is just not tolerated. It was always considered "Locker Room" material, and as long as it stayed there pictures of topless and nude women were tolerated or ignored in the mainstream but, with almost everyone having a camera phone and video phone nothing goes unnoticed, and the tollerence level is not very high now. Unfortunatly the last two times I was instructed to lock down computers, audit the harddrives and eMail accounts people lost their jobs, which is very sad.

I am in no way a prude, I appreciate the beauty of the human form clothed or naked, (heck I am a straight male and I am still breathing of course I find the image of a nakked woman interesting) but it is just NOT FOR THE WORKPLACE, not any more!

Yes, there is a time and a place for everything and at the workplace is neither the proper time nor the proper place for viewing such things. There have been a great number of government employees caught doing the same thing, so it's not just a private sector problem.

Yep...best keeping all personal email (especially if some of it can be "racy" :monkies:) confined to your home pc. No point in providing your company with a rope long enough to hang you by viewing/sending illicit content.:)

Save Dave!!!!

SYDNEY - An online campaign has started to save the job of an Australian banker who became an Internet sensation after he was caught on live television viewing images of scantily clad supermodel Miranda Kerr on his computer.

The financial Web site "Here is the City News" http://news.hereisthecity.com/ has set up a "Save Dave" page that encourages readers to e-mail the public relations department of Macquarie Bank to save banker David Kiely's job.

The web campaign lists four reasons for Kiely to keep his job: he seems like a nice bloke; the photographs were not hardcore; he has suffered enough, and there's just too much political correctness in this world anyway.

Kiely, who works in Macquarie Private Wealth in Sydney, opened e-mails containing pictures of Kerr, unaware a colleague behind him was doing a live television interview about the Australian economy.

The embarrassed banker is reportedly due to meet bank executives this week to determine his future, said local media.

At one point Kiely turned and looked at the TV camera, with a photo of Kerr in full sight on his dealing room screen. Local media have reported that Kiely may have been set up, with one of the e-mails ending with the words "turn around now."

"Whether set up or not, Kiely was really only guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. There but for the grace of God," said the Web campaign petition.

A clip of Kiely's embarrassing incident on YouTube has attracted more than 1.3 million hits.

Some viewers were sympathetic to Kiely's plight.

"Can't blame him...probably the dullest job ever, plus I mean, come on, it's Miranda Kerr, he's only human," one YouTube viewer wrote.

Miranda Kerr jetted back into Sydney from New York on Wednesday unaware of the fuss over her photos.

"I don't know anything about it, I've been on a plane all night," Kerr told local media.
