...sorta like a PTO pathfinder, huh? Its seems there were /was a good variety of types in ground support related roles that found themselves bouncing about all around those South Pacific jungles... and thanx so very much Maj.Magee, I always find your posts quite uniquely interesting and enlightening. :ernae:
 
Opinions requested

I used color samples from online sites. Due to lighting and artist suggestions, colors vary. Which is more accurate:
  1. The paler green on QEA?
  2. The darker green on QEH?
  3. Something in between the two?
 
really hard to say, they both look pretty close, I think QEH might be a little better, but I'm certainly no expert here. BTW, were'd you get that Aussie pilot?

There is a skin already released, Jimmy Christie has released a nice set some time ago now, and their fine renditions of several historic planes. As mentioned the plane is a hard one to repaint, using multipal texture sheets as opposed to the usual single sheet were used to. there is also a hard coded specular shine built into the model that makes it hard to get a feel for colours.

Aeroplane Heaven have kindly allowed for their Boomerang to be modified and included with the soon to be released Rising Sun.

It has new effects and weapons included, a revision of the smoke marking bomb (ETO) has been made up to represent the smoke marking bombs used by the RAAF to mark targets for heavies.

The included texture is for the plane described below. (has its base in Jimmie's work)

I need to finish some details. I also have new .xdp files with modded AvHistory weapons and lighting on my install, which I imagine would need permissions to upload....hopefully sometime this month? Thanks everyone for the compliments and suggestions! This is a great hobby, but it takes up a lot of free time :icon_lol:.
 
Thanks Capt., I know the Rising Sun group has put a lot of effort, I for one am looking forward to that Buffalo and Mohawk! Again, this is such a great hobby!:guinness:
