Boxes around model on rotate/move

This is strange. All was fine while working on my model in Gmax, then something changed.
Whenever I move the model in any way there are boxes around each part.

I've spent the last hour trying to figure it out within the settings.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Last thing I did was to remove all smoothing ans set viewports to facet.
Reversing this did not help.

Any ideas how to fix?

"Show Selection Bracket Toggle"? (default ) keyboard shortcut is 'J'.

I'm guessing you toggled off "Degradation Override". The circled button is the trigger for on/off.

Dunno how the heck I triggered that. Mental note is embedded in my head

As Robert says. You've possibly hit O at some time recently (Degradation Override toggle)
