BRANIFF DC-3

Duckie

SOH-CM-2024
Yet, and still another DC -3. Uploaded a little while ago and awaiting approval. This one is from the BRANIFF fleet, as viewed on the ramp at Chicago's Midway Airport in 1952 just before she was sold to Southern Airways. Should
be available "soon".

Will this work on the 'Douglas C-47 PBR' model for 64-bit P3D or would I have to install the last version for FSX into P3D as well as the PBR version?

Hi Larry. I honestly do not know. I only have FSX Boxed Accel, so that is what is is specifically made for. If I recall correctly the PBR model has slightly different texture mapping which may cause some problems.

Very nice repaint again Steve, thank you.

Larry, PBR tectures don't work in FSX, I would really be surprised when it would work the other way round. But as the textures are free you can of course always try!

Cheers,
Huub

I was thinking the other way around Huub ;), i.e. trying to put this paint onto the PBR model in P3D. It looks like I would have to have the native P3D PBR version of the plane AND the FSX version in P3D to get the paints I like.

I just tried these textures on the native P3D v4.5 version and they fitted perfectly so I guess the basic mapping is the same. I just had to change the 'model = XXX' line in the aircraft.cfg section to call one of the two models in the P3D version as they have different model names to the FSX version.

This is great news in that the FSX repaints (at least for the v3.14 release) will fit the P3D version too as there are only a few native repaints available (you will lose the PBR reflections though).
