Broke down and bought Buffalo/NiagraX & FlyTampa KBUF.. All I can say is wow!
So I grew up in Buffalo for 5 years of my life, and vowed that I would never physically go back in person cause I couldn't stand it. Occasionally though I fly there just to have someplace to fly to in FSX, and it really did not look like it does IRL. When Aerosoft released the Buffalo/Niagra X scenery I was intrigued, but then disappointed when reading about it to find it did not have night textures/seasons. I found out today though that FlyTampa! released KBUF a few days ago, and after looking at pictures of that finally decided to try both and give it a go. Spent 4 hours flying my Accu-sim B-17 from Florida to there, and all I could say is wow. It actually reminds me of the place I spent my high school years. I can recognize buildings/streets and all that stuff just flying around. Even the hotels across from the airport were there! My hats off to AS and FlyTampa for their excellent work on this. Before this my only scenery purchases were UTX/GEX USA. For the $40 dollars combined it was well worth the price, and highly recommend it for anyone from the Buffalo area. Going to have to make this a more regular stop in my journeys.. not to mention make it a habit to pick-up some more of FlyTampas airports. From the airport lights, to the taxiway signs.. it all looks real unlike the stock FSX junk. Now I see what all the fuss is about. Anyway enough blabbering, and on with the screens!
I opted for the more custom buildings option of the install, instead of using stock FSX autogen.. did not notice a frames impact, and it looks awesome.
HSBC arena where I have gone to many Sabres games over the course of that 5 years. Hoping to go back and go to a game this year.
Wide shot of KBUF
Can see the little runway lights and all that.
Mercy Flight Ops Base
I remember when the hotel on the right was a Days Inn.. Is where we used to stay when I was a kid and we came up to visit family, and all the blast barriers and such in their appropriate places
