OFF'ers:

I was watching that Youtube video posted the other night of the Sopwith (here's a repost: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtprTL66-FY&feature=related ) and fell in love all over again with that WONDERFUL sound of those old rotary engines! Music!

After enjoying the above vid, I discovered this one:

Though the volume and quality of sound isn't as dramatic as the previous vid, it still gets the job done! You also get some flyby's that give you a feel for the sound of WW1 flight.

Thus, realizing that I am a rotary junkie... it was with great delight that I heard that very distinctive rotarry sound in the OFF video that Sandbagger posted the other night. Delightful! Well done OFF team!

Tech question: Having some experience in sound for sims (albeit railroad oriented), my first impression is that OFF uses actual sound samples as opposed to synthesizing them? If not, then that is some of the best synthesized sound I've heard.

Anyrate... bravo!

Excellent find OldSimmer. Don't think I've seen that before. Amazingly short run after touchdown.

Wait until you hear the (albeit stationary) engine in the Fee in P3. It sings to you. There is a definite repeating tune that becomes quite mesmerising. The lads have certainly put a lot of effort into the P3 sounds. But I'd expect no less from this group of remarkable individuals:ernae:

Unless I'm very much mistaken we can thank OvS for many of the engine sounds currently in OFF. He spent many hours perfecting not only the engine sounds but also those of the weapons. :applause:

Well, that and just 'a few' aircraft skins of course. :icon_lol:

Amazingly short run after touchdown

It looks like the strip was very soft and the tail skid almost dug in like an anchor.....with the last take off you can see a huge clod fall off the tail end:isadizzy:

Cracking find Andre, thanks for posting :ernae:
