By-by carburetor...

Come out of the dark ages Theo, fuel injectors can be tuned too. But I hate level playing fields too, think technology should rule. If you cannot come up with an idea that your competitor has come up with, then you're a loser.

Dark ages your ass,Im a crew cheif on a dirt late model and have been for several years and our motors produce as much and probaly more horsepower than a nascar motor. And the only injectors that can be tuned are are the mechanical ones like sprint cars use like Kinsler and Hilborn. The ones nascar will use will be electronic and controled by an ECM ,that could be reprogramed for tuning ,but they will be sealed by nascar.Just another way to make everyone the same so they can run in a big pack and have lots of big crashes to make all the rednecks happy, sorry thats not racing.

But it IS NASCAR.
In reality, 'carburation' is Stone Age technology today.
Try and buy any decent road car built in the past decade that doesn't run EFI.
That said, my '73 RS runs a pair of triple choke downdraught Webers and the replica GT40 four dual choke downdraught Webers, only because I aim for as much period authenticity as possible.
EFI would be more practical for the Ford, but I like the real thing.
That said, a single Holley 'pumper' is fine for the low end cheap 'racing'.........:173go1:
