C140 at simmarket

Thanks Mike, sure looks nice.....great for the C.A. short and dirty airfields!!!! downloading!!!!:ernae:

SimFlight3D strikes again! Nice to see a follow-up to their straight-tail 172, really glad somebody is giving these planes some attention. Danged if I don't wish they'd spruce up their panels a little, though, or that somebody would give them some TLC "after-market." Their panels (2D and VC) are so plain and flat, they won't measure up to the rest of the models...all those default gauges.

Hopefully they won't since I don't see their logo or name anywhere in the description or on the aircraft, more power to him! Matter of fact, think I'll go purchase just to show my support, even though I am not a fan of this aircraft.

I think that came up when the 172 was released. A few days later, it got renamed and all references to the real builder disappeared. Too bad they don't want a little free advertising.

I like it. :ernae: Bought his straight tail C-172 earlier as well. They're both pretty basic, but they're pretty basic planes as well. Panel on the 140 is basic, photoreal type, but that also makes it possible to change easily. I've put older style radios in mine--there's an empty radio stack shown if you delete the modern radios it comes with.

cheers,
steve :wavey:

I got it too... flies nicely.. textures could be more detailed, but not a bad plane.... would do better in the $11,11 range though :wavey:

I have to say I like the visuals:applause: It seems to fly right too:engel016:

However the sound pack appears to be calling for simflight's c172 straight tail wav files...so it's a bit quiet apart from some wind noise???

Wow - thanks for some great Shots Roger - must get it thanks to those :applause::applause:

Did a little reading re the sound. It appears that the default c172 sound is used but not directly as an alias, so my problem is that I changed the default 172 sound. I have a back up and I've installed it directly into the c140 sound folder. Now to see if it works:isadizzy:

Edit: It worked after editing the path for each wav file.

Talking about forgotten gem:applause:. I think after replacing those default gauges with some older style ones, it would be smashingly awesome:medals:
